Dr. Robert “Bob” Kapela practiced for over 40 years as a successful Pathologist in the greater Puget Sound area where he owned and operated multiple pathology laboratories and managed a staff of almost 100 people. He and his wife, jointly began investing in real estate early in their marriage.
Bob is blessed with an inquisitive mind and a high intellect and loves anything Entrepreneurial whether that be business ideas and concepts, to Fintech, to Metals to medical devices. From growing up in a military family to being newly married resident at John’s Hopkins University, Bob knew how to make more with less.
Observing first-hand the short comings of the MedVac hospital in Vietnam ’69, he received the Bronze Star for his efforts to not only restore laboratory services at the Military Base in Pleiku, but he also started a blood bank so that injured soldiers actually had a chance at survival after losing so much blood from war wounds. Without precious blood on stock, many soldiers were set aside so that medical personnel could focus on soldiers whose lives could be saved. From this experience, Bob patented one of the first multi-vial blood draw syringe systems.
He currently sits as Chairman of the Board and is actively interested in politics and climate issues.
